DNA and Genetic Genealogy Services
I provide the following DNA and genetic genealogy services for a fee of $25.00 per hour plus expenses:- Consulting services for analysis of DNA test results.
- Determination of DNA tests to achieve your research goals.
- Locate DNA projects that can help achieve your research goals.
For these DNA-related services I need the following items:
- your specific research goal (determine the probability that two persons are descendants of a common ancestor and within what timeframe, determine whether two female lines might be related, etc.).
- a detailed descendant chart from the probable common ancestor to the descendants of interest for this goal.
- all known information about the person(s) targeted by the request (documents and sources that help prove the family links).
- any additional information you may have that could make the research more specific and efficient, such as family group sheets, pedigree charts, family legends and stories.
What You Should Do
- The first step is to review the list below to see if my services meet your needs and what information I need from you in order to perform the service.
- Next, email your request (using the "Contact Us" link in the navigation bar) or mail the information to the address listed at the top of the page. Include a telephone number if you wish to discuss your request via a phone call. This initial contact should include a list of information you have that is pertinent to your request but need not include photocopies at this time. Include information that may have an impact on estimating the scope and/or amount of time involved to complete your request.
- After reviewing your request, I will contact you with an estimate of the time needed to complete your request and how soon I can start on your request. If I feel I cannot provide you with the service requested I will let you know that also.
- If you decide to engage my services you can send a deposit and acceptance letter of the terms of our agreement and I will begin work on your request.
